Your Brain’s Pattern |
![]() Structured and organized, you have a knack for thinking clearly. You are very logical - and you don’t let your thoughts get polluted with emotions. And while your thoughts are pretty serious, they’re anything from boring. It’s minds like yours that have built the great cities of the world! |

Yes, it’s a bit early…
From moon.google.com
“In honor of the first manned Moon landing, which took place on July 20, 1969, we’ve added some NASA imagery to the Google Maps interface to help you pay your own visit to our celestial neighbor. Happy lunar surfing.”
Go and investigate the landing sites, and zoom in as far as you can

Bearing in mind that I’ve not been doing this for as long as some

Yes, the new Itunes has been released and can be downloaded from here. This version adds podcast support (which I have written about before).
After a quick play, Apple seem to have integrated the podcasts fairly well. It took me a while to work out how to play the downloaded podcast episodes, but once I worked that out I was soon listening to them.
Looking at the help file, listening to some of the longer podcasts might be easier with iTunes as a result of bookmarks. Messing about in iTunes I was skipping between some podcasts, and when I went back to a previous podcast it carried on from where I was. I thought that this was supposed to happen with music that I upload to the iPod, but it never seemed to work for me. (Maybe this is only for proper audiobooks? I’ll have to try with the podcast novel I’m listening to…)
Uploading to the iPod is easy once you set which podcasts you want to transfer.
Provided you also get the iPod Update (a hefty 47Mbdownload) they appear under a new menu item.
So - more podcasts for me to discover and add to my list. I’ll have to keep an eye on the new podcasts for anything interesting. If I find some partcularly insteresting podcasts I’ll let you know. ![]()

I got a new phone this week, a brand new Motorola. Up to now I’ve mainly had a Nokia, and as of yet, I’m not sure whether I prefer Motorola or Nokia as a phone. The phone book on the Nokia is way better than the Motorola’s. I’ve not worked out how to add more than one number against a contact - if you can at all…
I’m stuck with the Motorola for at least a year, so let’s see how I get on with it over the year. I’ll probably get used to it, and work out ways round some of the applications/functions I had on the Nokia.

An old term still being used….
A current advert that struck me, Star Wars - Revenge Of The Sith - The Video Game. How old a term is ‘Video Game’? It must date back to when games first came out. Funny how 20 years later it is still being used - albeit not very often. Usually computing terms come and go very quickly, so it’s odd how one term can stay around for ages.
Just added a new ‘toy’ to my website - a guestmap. Kind of funky, and I still need to tweak it a bit, but feel free to give it a go! Removed - too limited.

It’s all over, with no change at the top. Labour weren’t really expected to lose, although it was expected that it would be close. Next time things may be different. Speaking of next time, I don’t think politicians can count properly… They’re supposed to be there for 5 years, but the past few elections have been in 1997, 2001 and now 2005. I make that 4 years :). Maybe Blair is trying to be more like America than he thinks, and have elections every four years!
And why do Conservative think they have to get rid of leaders all the time? In some ways it does them no good, giving the impression that if something goes wrong they just change who’s at the top. I suppose it’s like normal businesses - if something’s wrong in the company, sack the directors. Mind you, with a catchphrase from a cartoon about global domination - you knew that was not going to help much
Yes, I’m talking about Pinky And The Brain. (I think Bananas in Pyjamas was also alluded to during the campaign, but as I’ve not seen that programme I can’t vouch for them).

So, onto what I am currently reading:
| I got this book as it’s all about the year I was born. I obviously don’t remember anything about 1968, so what I can get from the book will be interesting. From the first few pages it would seem that 1968 was a year of much unrest.
I’ve only just started reading it,so it will take a while to get through and post something else for you! |
