Following on from the previous post, the ‘new’ chart has now been with us for two weeks, and whilst most of the popular deleted songs have indeed made an appearance again.  Other than a few old songs, such as Livin’ On A Prayer and Eye Of The Tiger lower down in the charts, there hasn’t been the massive influx of download only singles that some were expecting.  These are likley to remain in the lower numbers.

However, there are some artists that ‘get’ popular before they have a single out.  An example of this last year was Arctic Monkeys, and this year it would seem to be Mika.  Arctic Monkeys were hampered by all sorts of rules that meant they could only chart when they brought out a single. Nowadays, of course, this all changes with Mika as he can chart from whenever the single is available.
