For the first time in about 8 years there is a Brit atop the US charts. Yep, James Blunt got the #1 single this week, with ‘You’re Beautiful’. The song managed 8 weeks at #1 in the UK charts last year, so here’s hoping he mirrors that in the US. Mind you, it’s taken him 16 weeks to rise up through the charts to get the #1, so it may be a brief stint at the top. Still, it makes a change to the R&B stuff that gets to the top with the help of a lot of airplay in the bigger US cities.
